Why?

You can enhance the usage of the 365id Scanner by integrate data i.e. name, birth date, image etc. from scanned documents into your business system.

You will experience seamless customer process when the data from the scanned documents populates your system, besides increased safety from fraud.

What?

365id verifies ID documents and at the same time the textual information on the document is extracted (with OCR, Optical Character Recognition technology).

The integration solution enables automatic transfer of the textual information and images from the scanned ID document directly into your business system. Additionally, the authenticity result and the result of check with external databases/systems can be included and transferred into your system.

Three alternatives to integrate data are available.

1. 365id Integration

  1. 365id customize a software program for your business system
  2. You download the program on your computer
  3. You connect a USB cable from the 365id Scanner to your computer
  4. You contact 365id to activate the integration service
  5. Scan ID documents and textual customer data will be transferred into your business system

2. API Integration

  1. Images and all textual data from scanned ID documents are available directly after the scan has been completed
  2. Selected data from ID document will be transferred from 365id server to your server
  3. You handle the data and address it to the right system within your business structure
  4. Scan ID documents, image and textual data from scanned ID documents will be transferred into your business system

3. USB Integration

  1. All textual data from scanned ID document are available directly after the scan has been completed
  2. Selected data from ID documents will be transferred from the 365id Scanner via the USB cable directly to your computer
  3. The data content sent on the USB cable is structured according to your requirements
  4. Scan ID documents and textual data from scanned ID documents will be transferred into your business system

How?

For 365id Integrations you need:

  • One or more 365id Scanners
  • Software package(s) (available below on this page)
  • A USB cable connected from the 365id Scanner to your local computer
  • The 365id Scanners serial number (S/N) must be 0000 008x xxxx xxxx or later version
  • Active account(s) for integration service subscriptions

Installation 365id Integration – Notification (USB)

The 365id Integration – Notification (USB) is built around two applications that must be installed on your computer:

  1. The 365id Integration – USB Support software that receives the scanned ID document information and scan result from the 365id Scanner via a USB cable and makes it available to 2. 365id Integration – Notification (USB)
  2. The 365id Integration – Notification (USB) software gives a notification in the web browser (Google Chrome) that displays the result of the last scanned documents

Requirements

  • Windows 7 or higher with the latest service pack installed, NOTE!
  • Google chrome browser
  • 365id Scanner
  • USB cable
  • A service subscription for 365id Integration – Notification (USB) service

Installation

  1. Connect USB Cable, male USB A to male USB B.
  2. Install 365id Integration – USB Support software
  3. Install 365id Integration – Notification (USB), Plugin for chrome
  4. Make sure you have activated the Notification service subscription

2. Install 365id Integration – USB Support software

The 365id Integration – USB Support software will make the information from your 365id Scanner available for your Google Chrome web browser. To install the software, download the installation program from this URL:

Run the installation program. You may be presented with a “Windows protected your PC” or a similar dialog. If so, click “More info”

Then, click “Run anyway”

You may now see a dialog for installing “Microsoft .Net Framework 4.7.2”. Click “Accept” to continue

In the next dialog that follow, click “Next”

In the next dialog, we recommend that you keep the settings as they are, but you are free to change them to your requirements. When you are done, click “Next”

In the next dialog, click “Next” to confirm the installation.

You may be asked to confirm that the program is allowed to make changes to your hard drive.

Once completed, the dialog can be closed by clicking “Close”

3. Install 365id Integration – Notification (USB), Plugin for chrome

The 365id Integration – Notification (USB) Plugin for chrome is an extension for your Google Chrome web browser. It will give a notification in the web browser (Google Chrome) that displays the result of the last scanned documents.

To install it, open the following URL in your Google Chrome web browser and click “Add to Chrome”:

Once the installation is completed, close all browser windows before you try the Notification service.

You must have an activated Notification service subscription to be able to use the service.

365id Integration – Sixt Cobra (USB)

The 365id Scanner integrated with your Sixt Cobra application enables the 365id Scanner to automatically insert textual information from scanned driving licenses and passports into your Sixt Cobra application.

In addition, and included in the Sixt Cobra software package, a notification can be presented in the web browser (Google Chrome) that shows the verification result of the last scanned documents.

The 365id Integration adds information from the scanned ID documents into the following pages into Sixt Cobra:

  • Rental Agreement – Check out
  • Reservation – Reservation System

NOTE – For the information to be filled in correctly, one of the above pages must be active within three minutes from the scan of the ID document. This is a security measure to avoid that the information is filled into the wrong customer’s booking.

Installation 365id Integration – Sixt Cobra (USB)

The 365id Integrations – Sixt Cobra (USB) software is built around two applications that must be installed on the local computer.

  1. The 365id Integrations – USB Support software receives the scanned ID documents information and scan result from the 365id Scanner via an USB cable and makes it available to the 365id Integrations – Sixt Cobra software
  2. The 365id Integrations – Sixt Cobra (USB) software transfers the textual information from scanned ID document into the correct fields in the Cobra application. It also contains a notification that shows the result of the last scanned documents.

Requirements

  • Windows 7 or higher with the latest service pack installed,
  • Google chrome browser
  • 365id Scanner
  • USB cable
  • 365id Integration – Sixt Cobra (USB) service subscription with 365id
  • If the Notification service will be used, a 365id Integration – Notification (USB) service subscription must be activated with 365id

365id Integration – Wheelsys (API)

The 365id Scanner integrated with Wheelsys will automatically insert textual information
and pictures from scanned driving licenses, passports and ID cards directly into Wheelsys
rental agreement.

In addition, the verification result (Green/Yellow/Red) of the scanned document will be
presented in the rental agreement for later reference.

Scanned documents are available for 15 minutes and can easily be downloaded into the
rental agreement.

The setup with Wheelsys enables you to use one 365id Scanner to more than one desk and
you can have several 365id Scanners at one branch and smoothly capture the data to the
correct rental agreement.

Installation 365id Integration – Wheelsys (API)

The 365id Integrations – Wheelsys (API) is designed for Wheelsys web-based car rental
system.

The 365id Integration – Wheelsys (API) transfers the textual information and picture from
scanned ID document into the applicable fields in Wheelsys.

Requirements

  • 365id Scanner with Wheelsys subscription (contact 365id for further assistance
    info@365id.com)
  • Wheelsys web-based car rental system

Installation

Integrating your 365id Scanner to Wheels is designed to be quick and easy.

  1. Connected your 365id Scanner to the internet and power
  2. login to Wheels and navigate to Company > Printing and Communications > Manage
    365id Device
  3. Add a description e.g. Front desk 1
  4. Enter the serial number located on the bottom of your 365id Scanner. The serial
    number must not contain any spaces between the numbers
  5. Select the station.
  6. Save the settings and your 365id Scanner are ready to be used with Wheelsys.

Test

You can test the integration if you want

  1. In Wheelsys chose Customers > New > Individual Renter
  2. Scan an ID document in your 365id Scanner
  3. A few of seconds later the ”365id” button is flashing (see image below)
  4. Click on the ”365id” button and chose the person you scanned from the list
  5. The customer data will automatically be populated into Wheelsys.

NOTE – For the information to be filled in, you need to have the rental agreement open.
